Series 58 EAD/DD Meets New High Speed Air Volume Demands
Aire Technologies recently re-tested our tried and true UL classified Series 58 EAD/DD ceiling radiation damper with Underwriters Laboratories to meet new high speed air volume demands. This product, combined with either a factory or field supplied and installed ductboard plenum above the sheetrock, has been tested to allow for larger ductwork connections in the annular space. This accommodates greater cubic feet per minute fan velocity (CFM) with higher internal duct static pressures delivered by larger air handlers.
This new trend in the multi-family industry – apartments and condos that are getting bigger, ceilings that are going higher, and larger common spaces – demands more heated or cooled air. Aire Technologies has responded by being the first in the industry to afford up to 345.5 sq inches of duct opening! Our 58 EAD/DD True Truss ceiling radiation damper enclosures are designed specifically for this application. We have recently tested and received approval for the stringent one hour UL263 testing required for a product to safely meet the demands of the wood-truss multi-family industry. We can easily meet the demands of the latest construction trends and are the only one tested and approved in the industry.
